With only The Sims 4 releasing this week, the Recalibrate crew doesn’t have much else to discuss except a few titles that came out in August already like Don’t Starve PS4/Vita, Mario Kart 8, Warframe and we anticipate the release of Destiny. Still, we find time to discuss a lot of the news that went on throughout the week.
The Recal crew have had enough! We discuss the recent deluge of suspicious tactics by our favourite game journalists. We are also joined by Vishal who is back from a trip to Jamaica! He starts off the discussion with Mario Kart 8 and Shovel Knight, meanwhile Nick continues to crank through as many Playstation 4 titles like Warframe, Wolfenstein: New Order, Battlefield 4 and Counterspy. As usual, Clayton is there to keep us both in check and generally prove that he’s smarter than us.
On this weeks episode of Recalibrate, we take a long look at what it’s like to use the PS4. We discuss the P.T / Silent Hills(Demo) reveal, Infamous: Second Son(PS4), Counterspy(PS4/Vita) and other PS4 games. Not to mention all the news we needed to discuss from GAMESCOM in Europa!
This week is our first foray into the new podcast: Recalibrate. We are all very excited to share the new name and brand with you. Other than a rebrand it is business as usual for the Recal crew as we discuss the deluge of news that occurred last week and manage to get into a fight over why the Wii U is great (or isn’t). Chris laments the days of the N64, Clayton stays faithful to Twitch and Vishal loves 2D side-scrollers.
This episode we talk about how stupid EA is. Just kidding, we love EA (kinda). This weeks topic is EA Access and subscription models. We also discuss more Rogue Legacy, Luftrausers, Hearthstone, and Donkey Kong!
This week we bring on Lucas Ng, a participant in the EVO 2014 Fight Game Tournament and we pick his brain on why the tiers are broken. After that he join the rest of the gang on a typical week in review including: Monument Valley, Dota2, the WiiU and news!
